Welcome to the Certificate Programmes

University of Peshawar decided to merge the Departments of Public and Business Administration in 1994 to have greater synergy. Thus, Institute of Management Studies (IMS) was formally established in 1995. Over a short period of time, IMS developed its own niche in a highly competitive market and gained good reputation among the students, academia, and professionals’ community.

The Institute of Management Studies (IMS), University of Peshawar made an initiative of Human and Institutional Capacity Building by offering a “Certificate Programme” to cater the needs of professionals of public and private sector. The course is designed to maintain an interactive and participative pedagogical methodology hence involving extensive use of case study method and IT under the supervision of foreign qualified field experts.

Details of the Programme

Essence of this programme is to provide the professionals with an opportunity of capacity building. Keeping in view the busy schedule of the professionals, the duration of the program will be four months (sixteen weeks) and the classes will be offered on Saturday and Sunday.

Eligibility

Students having a Masters degree in Management and Social Sciences or Bachelors with relevant experience are eligible to apply.  Students should have at least 3.0 CGPA or equivalent from a University/Degree Awarding Body recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Merit will be determined on the basis of academic qualification and experience. Other issues are covered by the admission rules of the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), University of Peshawar as prescribed.

Admission forms are available at the Institute of Management Studies – University of Peshawar on cash payment of Rs. 350/-

Issue Date of Application forms: January 23, 2012

Last Date of application Submission: February 03, 2012

Display of Merit List: February 07, 2012

Commencement of Classes: February 11, 2012

Fee and Scholarships

Fee for each certificate programme is 18,000/- per student (plus 2,000/- material charges)

Fee for existing students of IMS and that who graduated in or after 2009 is 10,000/- per student (plus 2,000/- material charges)

Number of Seats

The number of seats in each programme is 30. Seats will be allotted on Merit basis.

Institutional Nominations will be preferred over other cases and will not be considered under the merit clause.
